Earlier on Saturday, a special investigation team led by Jalandhar Range Deputy Inspector General Ranbir Singh Khatra committed five years in the Sikh holy book Guru Granth Sahib In his heinous crimes, seven followers of Dera Sacha Sauda were arrested from Faridkot area in Punjab.
They were arrested for stealing “Guru Granth Sahib” from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala village.

Among the defendants arrested were Sukhjinder Singh, Neela, Ranjit Bhola, Nishan, Baljit and Narinder Sharma in the Faridkot area of Punjab.
During the protest against the holy book festival in Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura towns, two people were killed in police fire and several others were injured in the violent clashes.
